I agree with him in what concerns the symbols. Symbols are the resume of power.
Here we have people that «work on dreams». Quite sophisticated in an intellectual level, and totally distressing in our western point of view.
Anyway, what i want to say is that, symbols are rather efficients when we know how to read them. The important thing is to discover the power they hold, which is not easy. But when we understand is quite astonishing the factor they can produce.
